Informatica Leaders Make the CRN “Women of the Channel 2021” List

This past year has tested us in many ways, with women facing historical challenges as they navigate the dual challenges of working remotely and coping with family life. That’s what makes it extra special to be able to recognize three women at Informatica for being named to CRN’s Women of the Channel for 2021—Aisling Mahoney, Katy Garcia and Tamara Striffler. Congratulations for this well-deserved recognition and thank you to CRN for naming them to this highly respected list.

Each year, this list recognizes women leaders for their influence, extraordinary expertise and vision within the channel. I’m thrilled to celebrate Aisling, Katy and Tamara as newcomers to the list for their many contributions to Informatica’s channel program.

I also want to extend my sincere thanks to our partners.  We’re incredibly fortunate to have such skilled and collaborative partners who work with us day in day out to help our customers in their mission to drive forward with their Digital Transformation and Cloud Modernization programs.  It’s our amazing partners who make these awards possible and inspire and power this team to continue driving hard.

Please join me in congratulating Aisling, Katy and Tamara and read their full profiles on CRN’s Women of the Channel 2021 list here.

Aisling Mahoney

Aisling is a channel marketing professional with more than 20 years of experience working in channel and field marketing, demand generation, and events and communications. A strong communicator with a collaborative leadership style and experience in managing remote teams. As the director of partner marketing for EMEA and LATAM at Informatica, Aisling helps customers embrace a cloud first, cloud native approach to their digital transformation by onboarding new cloud-first partners and driving triangulation opportunities between Informatica, channel partners and the cloud/ecosystem partners. Prior to Informatica, Aisling drove marketing and partner successes at Symantec, VMware, Avaya, Adaptec Inc., and Biltmore Technologies.

Aisling enjoys spending time with her husband, three daughters, and a dog called Charlie. Living close to the sea means regular walks along the coast, which Aisling says is “the most wonderful way to destress in these challenging times.” She also enjoys running or going for a cycle on her new electric bicycle.

Katy Garcia

In 2014, Katy moved back to Sydney with her family after six years in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and London working in a number of roles including strategic pursuits for a leading construction consultancy, AECOM, in the UAE. Looking for a career change that encapsulated her key skills, dealing with multiple stakeholders and managing complex projects, she was attracted to partner marketing and managed to get her “foot in the door” at IBM. It was an entry-level role in a completely new area that started her journey in tech.

With some great mentors and coaching she was able to secure a stretch project that led her to overseeing the IBM Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) MDF rebate program within six months. Following this, Katy was approached by Red Hat to lead their channel marketing programs in ANZ, which she was integral in launching the Red Hat partner marketing program in the region. And after three years, Katy was approached by Informatica to lead their APAC and Japan partner marketing program.

Katy de-stresses in her newly acquired garden, a labor of love the previous homeowners spent 60 years creating. Katy says “It’s just so therapeutic getting dirt under your fingernails and discovering new plants. My next project will be to build a veggie garden.”

Tamara Striffler

Tamara Striffler is an experienced and respected professional in the cloud data industry with more than 23 years of marketing leadership experience driving brand visibility, revenue growth and partner engagement. Tamara is currently Head of Partner Marketing at Informatica responsible for amplifying sales growth, brand awareness, and demand for Informatica’s industry-leading enterprise cloud data management platform with GSIs and cloud and AI technology partners. Prior to Informatica, Tamara drove product marketing in IBM’s Digital Marketing products. She also led marketing execution and strategy for IBM Middleware solutions in Websphere and Rational.

Tamara loves cooking and is a self-described MacGyver in the kitchen: “Only a few things on hand? No problem! I can pull something completely palatable, and sometimes downright tasty, together in a snap.”
