Dreamforce To-Do List: Find Lunch, Integrate Apps and Data
With Dreamforce fast approaching, travel and hotel rooms are at the top of my mind. In my last blog post, I wrote about the delightful experience I receive from American Airlines customer service agents because they recognize my phone number when I call and can pull up my itineraries ready for our chat. I get to quickly complete the call and I don’t have to repeat my details multiple times.
As I mentioned last time, brands like American Airlines offer exceptional customer service because they integrate and manage their hybrid environments in a way that ensures customer data—even if it’s distributed across many systems—is integrated, accessible, and trusted.
Begin with strategic integrations
I’m often asked where to start integrating. If you have multiple Salesforce Clouds, I think it makes sense to start by integrating all the strategic data from each of your Salesforce Clouds. But likely your customer data may also reside in other clouds, or on-premises in other applications. To deliver exceptional customer service, all this data needs to integrated and trusted. If any of that data is incomplete or inaccurate, your data users or IT may need to take extra steps to improve the data, which could slow down response times. When you deliver trusted, high-quality, and actionable data to your users, they can move fast to serve customers.
How iPaaS accelerates analytics insights
You can optimize your Salesforce investment—and integrate all your customer data by extending your multi-cloud architecture with integration platform as a service (iPaaS). An iPaaS will allow you to accelerate analytic insights by integrating all your salesforce application data to any cloud data warehouse. This is even more beneficial if you are dealing with multiple Salesforce orgs. What’s more, your citizen integrators and customer experience stewards can use self-service data integration tools to integrate multi-cloud and hybrid applications data. This is the best of all worlds. Not only can you ensure that data between your Salesforce Clouds is integrated, but also that it integrates with data in any external clouds and on-premises applications.
