Highlights of the Informatica Cloud Spring 2017 Release

Cloud Application Integration

Developers and integration professionals can finally integrate proliferating application APIs, resources and data sources, residing on premises, in the Cloud or a combination of both to deliver higher business value in today’s API economy.

Informatica Cloud Application Integration (CAI), Informatica’s iPaaS API Integration and Orchestration Service, is a hybrid services framework that helps developers create business orchestrations and APIs to integrate applications and data wherever they are.

Cloud Integration Hub

Cloud Integration Hub launched in earlier release, now includes out-of-the-box features for Salesforce users to simplify and speed up Salesforce integration.  With new Cloud Integration Hub Salesforce Accelerator, users can automatically generate the Salesforce entities that are required to connect Salesforce to Cloud Integration Hub, so users can publish data once and consume data from multiple subscribing applications. To try out the new capability you can sign up for the free trial, available for Informatica Cloud Premium and Advanced edition customers.

Cloud B2B Gateway

Now you can use Cloud B2B Gateway with advanced support for Artificial Intelligence to discover, parse, and map non-EDI messages, to expedite on-boarding of partners that do not use EDI files. This release also provides end to end order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes on EDI and EDIFACT standards, with out-of-the-box EDI solutions with full visibility and tracking to files exchanged with the partner community.

Power Exchange for Cloud Applications

Existing PowerCenter customers can now take advantage of PowerExchange capability made available in this release to accomplish hybrid integration scenarios. Customers can continue to use the PowerCenter Designer interface that they are already familiar with and seamlessly access all Informatica Cloud connectors associated with the Informatica Cloud account directly from PowerCenter. Informatica Cloud thus acts as an agile connectivity service layer for PowerCenter installations in enabling the above scenario.

Secure Agent as a Platform

Customers always wanted minimal downtime and component level isolation during Informatica Cloud upgrades or customer-driven maintenance activities. The Spring 2017 release made this a reality. Customers can now take advantage of the Secure Agent platform to run multiple services independently. Built on micro-services architecture, the Secure Agent platform can intelligently run multiple pluggable engines and auto-update itself with uninterrupted job execution during quarterly upgrades or monthly patches.

Connectivity

Informatica continues to provide increased support to all leading cloud PaaS providers (AWS, Microsoft, Google) and SaaS vendors (like Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, Marketo, Tableau, SAP SuccessFactors and more) so customers can easily light up their cloud data warehouse and analytics use cases.

The following connectors are made available in this release:

  • JIRA Cloud
  • Teradata Parallel Transporter API
  • IBM DashDB via ODBC Connector
  • Zuora REST API
  • SWAGGER definition generation for REST API connector
  • Oracle bulk insert support via REST API connector

Support for New Regions within the Informatica Cloud Spring 2017 Release
