Informatica World 2016 – 3,000 Data Devotees Taking San Francisco by Storm

You get the biggest and best Informatica World yet. I think we are safe to say there will be some explosive content and maybe a few other fireworks with Adam keynoting at the conference.

Now in 17th year, the conference showcasing how Data Powers Business. Informatica World 2016 kicks off on Monday, May 23, at Moscone West in San Francisco and runs through Thursday, May 26. This year’s conference provides a forum for industry visionaries, cloud computing leaders, IT strategists, business executives, developers and data scientists to share insights and guidance on unlocking the maximum value from data to power their businesses.

Informatica World has always been a gathering place for our great customers and data visionaries. For the 16th year in a row, Informatica will announce the winners of the 2016 Informatica Innovation Awards. These Innovation Awards recognize organizations that are transforming their businesses by using Informatica solutions to unlock big value from their data. This year’s awards will honor organizations who are innovating with data in multiple areas, including Analytics, Application Modernization, Big Data and IoT, Cloud, Data Governance, Marketing Excellence and Customer Service Efficiency, and Operational Efficiency.

One of the most exciting elements of the event this year is Informatica’s partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties to Stand Up for Kids. Conference participants will gather to put together 3,000 snack bags filled with healthy treats to help ensure Bay Area kids don’t go hungry. The snack bags will include turkey jerky, peanut butter and whole wheat crackers, veggie chips, fruit cups and animal crackers. Informatica Involved shows Informatica’s passion for improving people’s lives in local neighborhoods and the global community.

Thousands of leaders from areas such a cloud, big data at master data management are coming together to share and learn at the following summits – Cloud Innovation Summit, Big Data Ready Summit, MDM 360 Summit and Data Disruption Summit. The highlight of these summits will be the Informatica Executive Summit, which is an invitation-only event which brings together an exclusive group of business and IT leaders in a highly interactive forum to discuss how to use data to drive creative disruption. Scheduled speakers include executives from Cloudera, Hortonworks, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Tableau, Tesla Motors and Twitter.
