Dr. Walid el Abed is the founder and CEO of Global Data Excellence. He is a globally renowned expert and visionary in the fields of Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Conversion, Metadata and Master Data Management.
For more than 10 years, Walid has defined and implemented data strategies within global organizations through data quality and data Governance implementations to achieve business process improvements. His frameworks and methodologies are unique, delivering tangible value from high quality data.
He is also a recognized international speaker and delivers training, seminars and conferences on Data Excellence from vision to value generation. Prior to founding Global Data Excellence, Walid was Business Excellence Manager at Nestlé headquarters, based in Switzerland.
Adam Wilson is the General Manager for Informatica's Information Lifecycle Management Business Unit. Prior to assuming this role, Mr. Wilson was in charge of product definition and go-to-market strategy for Informatica's award-winning enterprise data integration platform. A long time employee of Informatica, Mr. Wilson has held numerous development, product management, and marketing leadership roles within the company. He was in charge of business intelligence products from 2000-2004, established the R&D program management organization between 2004-2006, and took over data integration product management and marketing responsibilities in 2006.
Throughout his career, Mr. Wilson has focused on delivering innovative products that help organizations gain competitive advantage by increasing information agility. Before joining Informatica, he co-founded and served as COO of Zimba, a developer of mobile applications that provided integrated, real-time access to corporate, personal, and business partner information. Zimba was sold to Informatica in August of 2000. Earlier in his career, Mr. Wilson worked at Accenture in their financial services practice. Mr. Wilson holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and an engineering degree from Northwestern University.
Cheri is responsible for leading product and customer marketing initiatives for Informatica’s Data Migration Solution. Cheri has worked for most of her 20+ year career as a data integration professional, delivering solutions that include data migration, data quality, single view of customer, data warehousing, and database applications. Prior to joining Informatica, Cheri was the Data Integration Solutions Manager at SAP Business Objects, where she defined solutions and actively worked on client engagements. At Business Objects she was a leader on the team that developed the SAP Data Migration Solution. She was a Strategic Consultant for FirstLogic, prior to their acquisition by Business Objects. Prior to her work at FirstLogic Cheri was the Manager of Data Quality and Data Architecture at DishNetwork.
Donal Dunne is the product marketing manager responsible for messaging and product positioning for Informatica Data Quality and has been with Informatica since 2003.
Donal started in the IT industry as a computer programmer over 25 years ago. Since then he has worked with a diverse range of hardware and software systems and has seen a lot of change in the IT landscape over this period … remember 8inch floppy disks? Having served in diverse roles from programmer, trainer, sales, marketing and project management, Donal has a broad experience of the challenges faced by companies implementing software applications.
Yi Xu is the product marketing manager responsible for communicating market strategy and product positioning for Informatica Identity Resolution.
Yi has been with Informatica since 2004 and contributes a deep understanding of data management issues and solutions. She has a unique, cross-functional understanding of Informatica products, having served in diverse roles from marketing operations to product management. Prior to Informatica, Yi worked in the consulting industry implementing Siebel projects.
Yi received her bachelors degree in Economics and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley and is currently pursuing her MBA at Santa Clara University.
Ramesh Menon is a Senior Director of Product Management at Informatica and currently focuses on evangelizing Data Quality and Identity Resolution technology. He advises organizations on implementing and managing enterprise-wide data quality.
Prior to Informatica, Ramesh was responsible for the Americas operations of Identity Systems (acquired by Informatica in May 2008). He has over 17 years of experience in data quality and identity resolution, including various roles in product management, strategy and marketing.
Destein has spent his career focusing on data access, data integration, and data management. In presales, product management, and product marketing roles at Borland, Active Software, webMethods, and Siperian, he has learned the best practices and applies them to achieve business value.
At Informatica, he is focused on helping organizations utilize the Informatica data integration and data quality platform to deliver on the promise of master data management.
Don Nanneman leads the Marketing effort for Informatica's On Demand Business Unit, developing and executing Informatica’s global SaaS marketing strategy. Prior to joining Informatica he drove marketing strategy at Voxify, a leading SaaS call center automation pioneer, as VP Marketing creating 300% year over-year-revenue increases and securing market leadership recognition from leading analysts firms.
Prior to Voxify, Mr. Nanneman served as VP of Marketing at Savvion, a leading BPM provider, a Group Marketing Manager at Octel Communications and held senior marketing positions at Apple Computer. Mr. Nanneman is a graduate of the Executive Education Program at UC Berkeley, and received a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the U.S. Navy Electronic Warfare Training Center.
Mr. Young serves as senior vice president and chief information officer of Informatica with responsibility for the strategic direction of Informatica’s global information systems and technology infrastructure.
During his tenure at Informatica, Mr. Young and the Information Technology department have won prestigious industry awards, including the 2006 CIO Decision Midmarket Leadership Award, the 2006 Ventana Research IT Performance Management Leadership Award and the 2007 100 Best Places to Work in IT by ComputerWorld.
Prior to joining Informatica in 2002, Mr. Young served at Mindcrossing and Converge, where he was responsible for overseeing product development and product management. Mr. Young began his career at HP where he served for 11 years in a number of information technology and marketing roles. A major milestone at HP included building the first partner portal, as well as building an enterprise portal and e-commerce infrasructure.
Mr. Young earned a bachelor’s degree in information systems and a master’s degree in business administration from Santa Clara University.
David S. Linthicum (Dave) is an internationally recognized industry expert and thought leader, and the author and coauthor of 13 books on computing, including the best selling Enterprise Application Integration (Addison Wesley). Dave keynotes at many leading technology conferences on cloud computing, SOA, Web 2.0, and enterprise architecture, and has appeared on a number of TV and radio shows as a computing expert. He is a blogger for InfoWorld, Intelligent Enterprise, and eBizq.net, covering SOA and enterprise computing topics. Dave also has columns in Government Computer News, Cloud Computing Journal, SOA Journal, Align Journal, and is the editor of Virtualization Journal.
In his career, Dave has formed or enhanced many of the ideas behind modern distributed computing including Enterprise Application Integration, B2B Application Integration, and SOA, approaches and technologies in wide use today. For the last 10 years, Dave has focused on the technology and strategies around cloud computing, and how to make cloud computing work for the modern enterprise. This includes work with several cloud computing startups.
