The Success of Our First MDM Day Leads to a Second One in EMEA

Last Spring I told you about the overwhelming response we received to MDM Day, a special event that preceded Informatica World 2013. As I said, attendance at this event tripled our expectations, and we took this as a clear sign of the importance of MDM in today’s IT landscape. Unfortunately we couldn’t accommodate everyone, including a significant contingent from the EMEA region. So we’re very happy to announce a special MDM Day event that will take place on Tuesday, October 8th at the Grange City Hotel in London.

Like our first MDM Day, this event will provide Informatica MDM customers with opportunities to learn from each other and interact directly with Informatica product management and development teams. 

Two Informatica MDM customers will present: ICON, a global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries, will discuss ways to improve clinical trials using MDM. The Halfords Group, a prominent retailer operating in Ireland and the UK, will cover the important process of building a business case for product MDM. After each presentation, we’ll host panel discussions led by the customer and key partners, which offer great opportunities for attendees to ask questions and learn from exemplary MDM implementations.

In the afternoon, we’ll demo the latest capabilities of MDM 9.5.1 and 9.6, including Salesforce MDM, and preview MDM functionality that is currently under development. We’ll also deliver a presentation on the architectural requirements of Universal MDM, and cover a few of the important highlights of the Informatica (Heiler) PIM 7 Fall Release.

We’ll wrap up the day with two breakout sessions moderated by Informatica product management and customer success teams. The first, for customers, will be an end-to-end product demo and discussion, allowing customers to see the entire product in action, from data modeling, to rules configuration, to the UI. Customers will be able to learn firsthand about the functionality offered by Informatica Multidomain MDM, Cloud MDM, and Heiler PIM. The second breakout session, for customers and partners, will provide a forum for posing specific implementation and configuration questions directly to Informatica product management and professional services teams.
