Informatica World 2013 is right around the corner, and I’m eager to tell you about all we have planned. This year, MDM will play a prominent role, as you can see by the sheer number of MDM-related sessions presented by Informatica customers, partners, and employees.
Here are just a few highlights:
Ruukkii will share best practices gleaned from a highly successful (in fact, award-winning) global multidomain MDM implementation. In another session, software provider Citrix and healthcare provider Glaxo Smith Kline will share their multidomain MDM best practices, having worked through complexities in development, deployment, and data governance. Speaking of data governance, Autotrader, Eli Lilly, and Quintiles will present a session discussing the importance of developing strong data governance practices for MDM by encouraging business users to “own” the data.
One of our partners, HighPoint Solutions, will discuss how they’re helping a leading healthcare payer to improve retention and sales, using the Informatica MDM and PowerCenter.
I’ll be presenting on What’s new in Informatica’s Universal MDM, and how you can immediately put it to work on your most critical business problem, and then gradually expand across multiple domains, deployments, and solutions. Then, another session will provide a deep dive into Universal MDM architecture, discussing best practices for assessing MDM requirements and ultimately achieving Universal MDM.
One session covers the important role of MDM in connecting the torrents of available social data from Facebook, LinkedIn, web sites, blogs, and discussion forums, to different systems across the organization, for a rich, expanded view of the customer. And another focuses on optimizing your experiences with the new releases of MDM Hub and Informatica Data Director. Finally, the senior consultants from our Global MDM Services team will share their experiences implementing over a hundred MDM projects across the globe.
In addition, we’ll offer:
- Demo stations, so you can see our MDM products in action.
- A hands-on MDM lab, where you can try out our MDM products for yourself, and see what they can do.
- MDM Day, an exclusive event for MDM customers. I’ll talk more about MDM Day in the next post.
