Get Your Hands (Literally) on Informatica Today: onDemand Labs Now Available

During recent discussions with customers and partners, it has become clear that there is a need for practitioners, consultants and end-users to be given far greater flexibility in the ways in which they develop the skills necessary to effectively use Informatica’s solutions.  As we are always looking for ways to leverage technology to make the learning process easier and more scalable, we are excited to announce the launch of our new onDemand offerings – onDemand Labs and onDemand+.

The onDemand Lab service is available now and provides students with live hand-on labs from the comfort of their own desk. This self-paced offering extends our award winning instructor-led and virtual classroom (Informatica Virtual Academy) training to the student’s own computer providing greater flexibility to enhance learning when undertaking an Informatica University curriculum.

Leveraging the same infrastructure and high-quality content used in our instructor-led class, students may now purchase our onDemand Lab service and utilize ten to forty hours of hands-on lab time, used within a 30-day period, to enhance their hands-on skills with Informatica solutions. The cloud-hosted virtual machines are identical to the environments used in the classroom and may be used to practice exercises from class, to explore new capabilities, or to help prepare for the Informatica Certified Professional (ICP) exam.

These onDemand Labs will soon be followed by our onDemand+ offering that combines the labs with self-paced content, much of which is also available via our many instructor-led classes. The onDemand+ offering is an alternative to instructor-led and virtual classroom training and can be purchased as individual courses or on a subscription basis to provide the students with access to all self-paced onDemand+ content supplemented with lab hours to practice and complete the course exercises.
