Data Integration Goes Mobile And Gets Cloudy At Dreamforce 2011

It was quite a week. According to the Tweets from @benioff, “over 45,000 people gave us a week of their summer to attend Dreamforce 2011” – a truly amazing number and a truly amazing conference. Informatica customers and partners were also out in full force as the topic of data integration was front and center in most of the keynotes and breakout sessions. Informatica announced that it’s now running over 20 billion transactions per month via its multitenant cloud integration service and also introduced a mobile administration and monitoring application that is now available on the Apple App Store.

Our session on Hybrid IT – The Importance of Integration to Salesforce Success was run twice due to popular demand and it was a packed house each time. Special thanks to our great customer speakers from PSA Insurance and Financial Services, Topcon Positioning Systems and Qualcomm. On the first night of Dreamforce, we also announced our first annual “Informatica Cloudy” awards. This year’s winners are:

2011 Cloudy Award Categories

Most Unique Integrations – Nominees in this category pushed the bounds of cloud integration with custom integrations that delivered business value.

  • 2011 Cloudy Award winner:   CETCO

Highest All-Time Success Rate – Nominees ran over 100 integrations per day with over 95% success rate.

  • 2011 Cloud Award winner:   McKesson

Big Data Cloud Integration – Nominees did the most heavy lifting, helping us reach the 20 billion transactions a month milestone.

  • 2011 Cloudy Award Winner:  Avaya

Rising Cloud – Most of the nominees started with Informatica’s free Data Loader or usage-based Express edition and expanded their implementation as their requirements grew.

  • 2011 Cloudy Award Winner:  Novatel Wireless-Enfora

Informatica Cloudy Award - Motorola MobilityMost Connected – Nominees established the most endpoint connections with Informatica Cloud.

  • 2011 Cloudy Award Winner: Motorola Mobility

MVP – This is a special award that goes to the Informatica Cloud customer who helped evangelize the benefits of cloud integration the most during the year.
