Cloud Slam ’11 is the first hybrid event that I’ve been a part of – in other words, its both virtual and live. Naturally I’ll be doing a session focusing on the hybrid reality of today’s IT organization and the importance of cloud data integration.
I even have a few free passes if you’re interested in attending this or other sessions. (Sorry, it’s first come first serve.)
The overall agenda is quite impressive, and likely a sign of conferences to come.
- Day 1 was live. Interestingly, the cloud event was held at Microsoft’s Silicon Valley headquarters and they also hosted the keynote session on “Business in the Cloud”
- Day 2 featured what was billed as, “a riveting session of revealing the secrets and truth to the reality of cloud computing across IT and business…” Mark Smith from Ventana Research was the presenter. Go Mark!
- Each day features a wide range of independent software vendors and systems integrators – from CA to Intel, Fujitsu to Salesforce.com, Rackspace, Marketo and many more. You can pick the cloud computing topics you’re interested in and either actively participate or multi-task at your desk. Pretty cool.
My session happens to be on Good Friday. I hope you can make it. Here are the details.
